This extremely unusual ethnic style rug has a flower with butterfly design set on a white background and would be ideal to accentuate a prominent room feature or as a centerpiece for a room. This Mexican flower design rug is compelling by its simplicity and obvious authenticity, perfect if you are looking for something that little bit different. Hand-woven using 100% wool the detail of the design makes its weaving a very time consuming process, as the little bundles of wool constantly have to be changed. Also available in other colours.
This rug is made using traditional Zapotec methods under the supervision of Don Isaac Vásquez, the man credited with reviving the disappearing pre-Hispanic techniques, along with famous Mexican artist Francisco Toledo.
