Mexican Diamonds Collection Hand-Woven Wool Rug - Grey/White


This rug has a classic Zapotec Diamond design of orange, grey and red, woven within a subtle green background. The mix of colour is unusual and striking and would be a feature for any room. The subtle orange inner border accentuates the pattern and the dark red outer border frames the whole image. One of our most popular designs for those looking for something different and authentic. The detail of the design makes its weaving a very time consuming process, as the bundles of wool constantly have to be changed.

This rug is made using traditional Zapotec methods by Don Isaac Vásquez, the man credited with reviving the disappearing pre-Hispanic techniques, along with famous Mexican artist Francisco Toledo.
