Mexican Black Pottery Globes & Miscellaneous Gifts
These decorative ceramic globes are a typical example of a style of local pottery called Barro Negro made in San Bartolo Coyotepec near Oaxaca, Mexico.
Made by local artisans, the pottery found in the shops and stalls in the area is the work of local families carrying on the tradition of making pottery which has been such an important part of their heritage for centuries.
Because each globe is hand-made overall size and the degree of openness of the sculpture can vary, which means each globe is that little bit unique.
